This is the BBE project web site
Block Based Encryption aka 2Bx4Bx2B. An original bruteforce-based encryption/decryption system. BBE was originally conceived in order to chat with encrypted text on irc and to solve the encryption keys exchange problem. mIRC and X-Chat support 2Bx4Bx2B via BBE-FE and BBExCript respectively. Circo irc client supports it natively. Blowfish is now the currently supported encryption algorithm, others may be added soon. 2Bx4Bx2B can also encrypt/decrypt mime encoded files, but it's not raccomended due to a 90% enlargement of the data, and to the slow speed of the decryption process (asm code needed to speed things up). The decryption process on a pII 233mhz goes at 6-7k decrypted chars/s while the encryption process speed equals mime encoding.

After one year, I finally had the time to start this site.
At the moment, I've only added the main BBE related downloads, and a FAQ (in italian, it will be translated in the future) ...
